Appeal

In the recent years, due to floods in Bhima and Krishna rivers the Sri Jitamitra Tirthara Sannidana Katte was at the risk of being ruined for ever. In the year 2001 -2002 several devotees headed by H.H. 108 Sri Sushameendra Teertha Swamiji  (Peethadhipathi of Sri Raghavendra Swamy Matha, Mantralaya) and Late Shri Shivapur Ramarao ( Direct descendent of Sri Jitamitra Tirtha) took the initiative and built a stone wall on one side of Gadde to prevent the waters from ruining it. This work costed about 13 lakhs and it was made possible within a short span of few months due to the leadership and financial support from Sri Padaputra Sri Raja S Rajagopalachar, personal secretary to H.H. 108 Sri Sushameendra Teertha Swamiji. Under the supervision of Sri Krishna Desai this work has been completed without having any manpower problem.

Sri Jitamitra Tirthara Sannidana Katte can be further secured by constructing a flood wall on the other side of Gadde. We need to do this urgently to preserve the place for future generations. These are very rare, sacred place,  and it is our primary responsibility to do everything we can, to save such places for future generations to cherish.
